Users link their accounts with Google Authenticator or a similar authentication app. A new code is generated at every login, and users gain access once they enter it successfully. The 2FA system provides a strong defense against identity theft. It is especially recommended for accounts containing financial data, personal information, or sensitive access permissions.

1. Enable 2FA in the Profile

To enable two-step verification, go to your profile page. In the profile settings, activate the verification option and save your changes.

2. Download Google Authenticator

Google Authenticator is a secure and free mobile app used for two-factor authentication (2FA). It generates a time-based verification code every time you log in, adding another layer of protection to your account.

How to Download

For Android:
  • Open Google Play Store.
  • Search for “Google Authenticator.”
  • Developer: Google LLC.
  • Download and install the app.
For iOS (iPhone):
  • Open the App Store.
  • Search for “Google Authenticator.”
  • Developer: Google LLC.
  • Download and install the app.

How to Set Up

  1. Open the app.
  2. Tap the “+” icon.
  3. Scan the QR code or enter the setup key manually.
  4. Once added, you will see a 6-digit verification code that changes every 30 seconds.
  5. Enter this code on the login screen to verify your identity.

Notes

  • No internet connection is required; codes are generated on your device.
  • Remember to back up your setup if you switch to a new phone.
  • Because only you have the codes, your account remains safe even if your password is stolen.
You are now protecting your account with 2FA. Password login will be disabled. You can disable this option later from your profile.
If you cannot find your verification code, you can reset it by requesting an email recovery.
