For mail delivery to work properly, you must correctly configure SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) settings. These settings include the mail server, port number, encryption type (TLS/SSL), username, and password. Below is the easiest setup method using Google SMTP, which ensures your emails are sent reliably without being marked as spam.

1. Log in to your Google Account

Log in to your Google account or create one if you do not already have an account. Then, go to Manage Your Google Account. Image(56) Pn

2. Enable Two-Step Verification

Go to the Security section and enable 2-Step Verification. Enter your phone number; SMS verification is not required. Image(57) Pn
Enabling two-step verification is essential. Without it, the email system will not work.

3. Access Application Passwords

In the search bar, type Application Passwords (or the English equivalent if your account language is English) and go to the corresponding section. Image(58) Pn

4. Create an Application Password

Enter any name for your app and confirm to generate the password. Image(59) Pn
Save the password displayed on the screen. You will need it for your mail configuration.

5. Configure Mail Settings

Log in to the Zonely admin panel and click the gear icon in the lower-left corner. From the menu, select Mail Settings and fill out the form as follows:
  1. SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com (Required for Google SMTP)
  2. SMTP Port: 465 (Required)
  3. SMTP Security Type: SSL (Required)
  4. SMTP Email Address: [email protected] (Enter the Gmail address you logged in with)
  5. SMTP Sender Name: Zonely (You can choose any display name)
  6. SMTP Password: Enter the password generated in Application Passwords
Click Save to update your mail settings. Password recovery emails and user notifications will now be sent automatically.
